Essential services can and should be treated at dental offices during current crisis
DALLAS (March 26, 2020) – The American Dental Association and the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners have asked dentists to keep their offices open to patients requiring emergency dental services during the current crisis.
“It is imperative that dental clinicians care for emergency patients in a timely manner rather than referring them to emergency facilities,” said the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners on its website.
In light of these critical directives, and to alleviate the burden on hospital ERs and urgent care facilities, Dallas-based Ideal Dental is keeping select offices in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio open to provide emergency dental care to individuals in these communities.
“At Ideal Dental, we are honored to serve alongside healthcare providers in our communities across Texas who continue to safely provide essential care to those who need it,” said Dr. Sulman Ahmed, Founder and CEO of Ideal Dental. “Our team of dentists and dental care professionals have rallied to keep a network of offices open for emergency dental care. The last thing we need now is for people with dental emergencies to crowd ERs and urgent care centers that are busy tending to people affected by the Coronavirus and other ailments. We are here to do our part to help the community during this unprecedented crisis.”
Additional safety measures have been established at all Ideal Dental offices to ensure the protection of patients and the dental professionals caring for them.
Rest assured knowing that if you or someone you know is experiencing any of these symptoms, an Ideal Dental office near you and is ready and able to safely provide care as needed. To find the closest open location to you, visit myidealdental.com/dentist-offices.
