Skincare has something that has always been a staple in my life. My Grandmother had the absolute most beautiful skin (naturally wrinkle-free I might add) and was always trying the latest and greatest to keep herself glowing. However, I was not lucky enough to carry this gene! Haha! While my Grandmother’s skincare routine was simply to keep her skin glowing…mine had always been to try and get rid of a problem. Since high school, I’ve suffered from visible redness that always pops out even more in the summer. You know, the times when you’re supposed to look carefree and cute at the lake, well, I was a tomato without the sunburn. It just always seemed to happen no matter how much sunscreen I had on, what facial products I used the redness still prevailed. And even on the days that weren’t spent on the lake, this issue tended to always pop up at the worst possible moments.
Fast forward to today and I’m a mom now to a four-month-old! Woo! While this is super exciting and we are so in love with her, this also means that every minute matters when taking care of my skin. I don’t have the luxury of a 30-45 min skincare routine in the mornings and at nights anymore so when looking for a skincare regimen simplicity is a big key.
That’s why when I was asked to try the SOOTHE Regimen from Rodan + Fields one of the first things I took note of was the ease of the 4-Step AM Regimen + 3-Step PM Regimen. Both AM + PM Regimens use the same products so no need to buy two separate sets of products!
The AM routine starts off with the SOOTHE Calming Gel Cleanser which gently lifts + removes impurities in the skin including makeup. What’s different about this is that it cleanses the skin without stripping the skin’s barrier. Your skin, especially on your face, has a protective barrier that can easily be damaged by using too harsh of products. It’s a fine line between only cleansing the skin of impurities without damaging the skin’s protective barrier. The SOOTHE Calming Gel Cleanser also helps calm, soothe and alleviate skin discomforts.
The next step for the AM routine is the SOOTHE Sensitive Skin Treatment! This is a lotion that goes on easily to soothe + calm skin for a smooth, clear, and healthy-looking complexion. Using Cherimoya Fruit Extract, Allantoin, Dimethicone, Dual-Licorice Technology and a proprietary RFp2 Peptide Complex, this lotion instantly reduces the appearance of redness, protects the skin from the drying effects of wind as well as moisturizes to calm the effects of irritated skin after exposure to UV, pollution & everyday stressors.
For the third step in the morning, Rodan + Fields combined a Colloidal Oatmeal and 7 Essential Ceramides to create their SOOTHE Moisturizing Rescue Cream. This rich cream delivers hydration for a smooth appearance while also replenishing + fortifying the skin’s natural moisture barrier to seal in hydration + protect against environmental irritants. What’s great about this cream is that it works to temporarily relieves flares, itching + blotchiness related to eczema + dermatitis.
The final AM step is the SOOTHE Daily Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum 30! If you live in Texas like me or anywhere where the sun is hot, you know how important daily sunscreen is! However, in the past when I’ve tried facial sunscreens it always broke me out which is the exact opposite of the ‘look’ I was going for – haha! What’s different about this sunscreen is that it is 100% mineral-based which protects against UVA + UVB all while defending the skin. They also added an Artichoke Leaf Extract & Patented RF3 Antioxidant complex that fortifies the skin’s moisture barrier to defend against environmental aggressors.
So what’s different about the AM + PM routine? The sunscreen! Since the sun has gone down for the day, no need to use the last step of sunscreen application before bed.
The simplicity of this highly effective skincare routine is something that makes this momma’s life a whole lot easier! Cleanse + Soothe + Moisturize + Sunblock and you’re out the door! The best part…it works! Just like with anything it does take time and consistent use to notice visible results. The brand provided the clinical results* from their clinical studies, sharing that 76% had less visible blotchiness after 4 weeks. After 8 weeks of use, 100% had less visible dryness, 94% had smoother skin, 82% noticed a more even-looking skin texture, 79% noticed skin feels balanced and less sensitive, and even 78% of subjects with eczema agreed they had less bothersome itchiness. That’s huge!
These visible results aren’t just for their clinical trials either. After using the products for 2 weeks, I noticed a visible difference in the dryness and redness of my skin. Where my skin used to flake off due to being so dry no matter what products were used, my skin now has a dewy glow to it feeling extremely moisturized! And for the visible redness, what redness?? While my visible redness isn’t 100% gone on all days it is SIGNIFICANTLY reduced after only 2 weeks of use.
Another bonus about Rodan + Fields is that they offer a 60-day money-back guarantee on ALL of their products – even if it is empty! That is unheard of in today’s world! They understand that results don’t happen overnight (even though we want them to) and therefore want you to fully try the products to make sure they work for you. A company that stands behind its products makes it easier to trust that the results can happen for you too.
This Rodan + Fields SOOTHE Regimen is a must for anyone who suffers from skin irritation wanting that dewy easy-breezy glow. This is available through Rodan + Fields Independent Consultants or here at rodanandfields.com
While I’ve only had two weeks to try this new easy set of products, I’m excited to see what the results will be after 8 weeks of use. Simplicity + effectiveness is what everyone wants and the SOOTHE Regimen delivers. Let me know below if you have a similar skin story and how Rodan + Fields has helped you!
