‘The Why’ with Vitality Bowls

With summer right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to introduce you to your new favorite spot in this week’s ‘Why’ series! **drum roll please** Vitality Bowls! A few days ago I had the opportunity to meet Josh, the owner of both Frisco locations of Vitality Bowls (Eldorado & DNT + Legacy & Lebanon), and let me just say – I tried SEVERAL things off the menu that were absolutely delicious. Without further ado, let’s dive in!

Josh and his family moved to the community in 2011 and fell in love with Frisco. Through living in the community they recognized the tremendous growth happening in the area but also saw the lack of truly healthy options for families, athletes, and students. With always having a dream to own his own business, Josh opened Vitality Bowls in 2017 and has been serving the community ever since!

Vitality Bowls is a superfood cafe specializing in delicious acai bowls, which are a thick blend of the acai berry topped with organic granola and a selection of superfood ingredients. But that’s not all that Vitality Bowls has to offer! Their menu is filled with antioxidant-rich items such as smoothies, fresh juices, soups salads, and even paninis. With a kitchen designed to avoid cross-contamination of common food allergens as all items on the menu are made to order – that makes Vitality Bowl a go-to spot for my allergy fam! (They have Gluten Free bread for paninis and use plant-based milk in all products.) In addition to being well versed on how to prepare foods for allergies they also do not use fillers such as ice, frozen yogurt, or artificial preservatives.

One of the first things I noticed about Vitality Bowls upon walking in was how spacious it was! Many times I’ve found myself walking into boutique cafes wanting to find a spot to sit and enjoy the meal but having to get it to-go due to lack of seating. That’s not the case here! With high tops, individual tables, and booths you can find the perfect spot to enjoy your meal. What’s even better is that they also provide free wifi so you can post up at your new favorite spot to work and enjoy superfoods as well.

This superfood cafe is a passion for Josh and from the moment they opened their doors at their first Frisco location they’ve made a commitment to supporting our local schools. “Through health fairs, PTA partnerships, recognition of teachers, mentoring students, and/or providing healthy meal options for school teams and student-athletes, we believe in supporting our community to build healthier habits as early as possible.” – Josh, Owner of Vitality Bowls in Frisco

But that’s not all that Vitality Bowls is committed to! Josh stated, “We also partner with Toys for Tots every year by collecting donations at both of our Frisco locations as well as our employees volunteering at the Dr Pepper ballpark with Toys for Tots. In addition, I have a real commitment to a positive work environment that also fosters growth with our employees which consists of primarily college-aged and high school young adults. I’ve enjoyed seeing them develop and grow into the next steps in their lives.”

It takes true dedication to be an active mentor and it only takes a few seconds when meeting Josh to know he truly does care about making a positive impact in the lives of those around him.

Josh owns both Frisco locations of Vitality Bowls (Eldorado & DNT + Legacy & Lebanon) and would love for you to stop on in, meet the team and try a superfood bowl for yourself! *There’s a giveaway happening right now on my Instagram page for you to win a $50 Gift Card!*

Thank you so much for teaming up with us on our Why Series and allowing us to share your story! Can’t wait to be back and try more of that delicious menu!
